Thanks to Tuntuni for this contribution. This has three tracks listed of seminal importance to me – The Smiths ‘This Charming Man‘, The Sugar Cubes ‘Birthday‘ and The Cure – ‘Boys Don’t Cry‘. These cemented my identification within the world and sub-culture of indie music (for good and bad).
